Our Story

Why I started
Lumio Solutions

I know what it feels like to sit across from a stack of government forms and not know where to begin. I’ve experienced firsthand how difficult it is to navigate disability-related systems — complex paperwork, fragmented services, and barriers that too often prevent people from accessing support they genuinely need to survive.

That lived experience is what drove me to build Lumio Solutions. Not as an outside observer, but as someone who has been in that chair.

Across Canada, over 6 million people face accessibility challenges every day. Frontline services are overwhelmed. Programs are difficult to find, harder to apply for, and nearly impossible to navigate alone. The result is a growing, painful gap between what people need and what they can actually access.

Lumio Solutions exists to close that gap — with a centralized hub of resources, personalized one-on-one support, and educational seminars that meet people where they are. We don’t just hand you a pamphlet. We sit with you, walk through it together, and make sure you come out the other side with clarity and confidence.

Because complex forms and broken systems shouldn’t stand between people and the support they need.

Who We Help

Built for the people who need it most

We designed every part of Lumio Solutions with three communities in mind — and the people who show up for them.

→ OAS, CPP, GIS, LTC, GAINS

Caregivers

Family members and care workers who are managing someone else's needs on top of their own — and deserve support, not more paperwork confusion.

→ Caregiver benefits, respite care, OHIP navigation

Individuals with Disabilities

Whether newly diagnosed or long-navigating complex systems, we help access income support, adaptive equipment, and provincial programs you're entitled to.

→ ODSP, DTC, ADP, housing supports

Client · Waterloo Region, ON

I’m caring for my husband full-time and had no idea there were benefits available to me as a caregiver. Lumio Solutions found programs I didn’t even know existed and helped me apply for all of them.

The seminar was so clear and easy to follow. I finally understand what OAS and GIS mean and how to apply. I wish someone had explained this to me years ago.
